| After babysitting for the Sarver's I meet this guy named Jeff that Chris and Jodi brought home. I think nothing of it and go on my merry way. 15 minutes later I get a voicemail from him asking me to call him back. So I call and it turns out he needs my assistence to get into Irving Gym to work out. I willingly comply. So as I meet him over there, it turns out the rec. staff wont let him workout without me there to "watch him." So he's like, well don't worry about it Corey and I tell him no way dude, lets do this. So I work out w/ this guy (and by that I mean I spotted him/watched him) and we had a grand ole conversation about whatever. As we get to talking, I start to recognize this guy and so I ask about him, and it turns out Jeff was on state speaking at Christmas conference last year! He gave the address and call to help support katrina relieve, oversees support and new movements. How random? It turns out he knows all my friends from VA beach b/c he was on staff the summer of '05, which I never would've found out had he not ran into Chelsy albertson at the gym. He was such a sweet and gentle guy. Not to mention he also was close friends w/ troy rendleman. I guess he works at the regional office in indy now. I really enjoyed that really random detour during my evening! | | |
| So last night, I just finish dropping off all of the Bible study guys and ASB runs into use the bathroom in Lafollette. A moment later, I realize I too have some fluids to release, so I follow him (he's already gone at this point) to the unisex bathroom in lafollette (which by the way, no one is ever in there). With no surprise, I notice there is someone already in the stall. I of course, take the other. However, feeling a bit ornery, I decide to give ASB a little chuckle by making these really, really awkward groaning noises (I think I sounded like I was really old and about to die). All of a sudden, the individual in the former stall, quickly scurries on out of the bathroom, with no stop to wash the hands or anything, which by the way is totally gross and I don't know how people can just not wash their hands when they go to the bathroom. I always wash my hands when I go to the bathroom. So I get back to the car, and I ask ASB if he was in the unisex bathroom and he said no. So I'm thinking, wait a minute, you weren't in the bathroom when I was making those obnoxious noises? So I sent someone out of that bathroom pretty quickly and I don't even know who it was, and more importantly, I don't even know what gender he/she was, since it was unisex! Ha! How weird that would be if it was a girl! Oh well, you win some. you lose some, but it was still a fun night. | | |
